The Maui News should publish a smog alert. If sufficiently serious, people could take precautions. The alert could take the form of a graph from 0 to 100 percent. Children, elderly people and people with allergies would be especially grateful.
I hope the powers to be aren't overly concerned with the loss of tourist trade.
