It seems some teens and sometimes even adults joke about abuse. Hearing them laugh and thinking it's a joke is disgusting. Most people believe they will never be in an abusive relationship and think it's easy to get out of one. Abuse should be taken very seriously.
Recently, people were posting videos online of babies being abused. It was heartbreaking to see an innocent child getting blows to the head by its mother and/or father. The thing that made it worse was the fact that someone videotaped it instead of calling the police.
Abuse should not be taken lightly. Not only does it happen to children but to teens and adults. When someone gets punched in the face, they blame their partner's violence on alcohol or not being able to control their anger. Sometimes the victim would believe that he or she deserved it. The victim then forgives the abuser, hoping it'll never happen again.
There have been several cases where the abuse never stops. If you know someone getting abused or you're being abused, don't hesitate to get help. Studies have proved that everyone has at least one person they can trust. Some people have died from abuse and others have been badly injured.
For those who are being abused, it might be hard to tell someone that their partner hit them. They'll say they can't leave because they love their partner. However, the love is no longer there - you don't hurt the ones you love.
