It takes a lot of gall to take taxpayer money and give it away as bonuses (The Maui News, May 12).
If the money came out of the councilor's pocket, I would have no problem with that.
These council members should be investigated and made to pay for the bonuses out of their own pockets. The same council members beg for their jobs and then they do something like this. Remember their names and when it comes to re-election, vote them out.
Now, I understand why we are taxed so much. Shame, shame on you, council members.
