Gould records hole-in-one at Elleair

KIHEI - Shannon Gould of Kahana recorded a hole-in-one at Elleair Maui Golf Club on Sunday.

Gould aced the 12th hole, using a 3-wood for the 186-yard shot, which was witnessed by Bill Marchand, Denny Putman and Chris Whittingham.

NABL tryouts Monday, Tuesday at Maehara

WAILUKU - The North American Baseball League's Na Koa Ikaika Maui and Hawaii Stars of the Big Island have scheduled tryouts for Monday and Tuesday at Maehara Stadium.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. each day.

Maui High to conduct cross country sign-ups

KAHULUI - Current 8th-graders can sign up for the Maui High School cross country team next week.

Registration will take place during the Maui Waena 8th-grade lunch period (12:25-12:57 p.m.) on Monday, and during the Lokelani 8th-grade lunch period (11:58 a.m.-12:28 p.m.) on Tuesday.

Learn-to-swim classes set to start next month

KAHULUI - Maui Swim Club will conduct free learn-to-swim classes at 6 p.m. daily from June 5 to Aug. 17 at the Kahului Pool.

An informational meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. on June 4 at the pool.

Youth sports camp slated for June 18-22

KIHEI - The Beyond the Gold sports camp, for youths 4-12, is scheduled for June 18-22, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. each day, at Hope Chapel.

The fee is $45 per person.
