MESA, Ariz. - The University of Hawaii baseball team's season ended with a 9-6 loss to Louisiana Tech in a Western Athletic Conference tournament elimination game Thursday.
Kaeo Aliviado was 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and a run for the Rainbows (30-25), who lost both their games at the WAC tournament. Stephen Ventimilia was also 2-for-5 with a double, stole a base and scored three runs.
The Bulldogs (25-27) scored in each of the first four innings, including three runs each in the second and fourth. Justin Gordey was 4-for-4, drove in a run and scored twice.
Losing pitcher Matt Sisto (8-4) permitted five runs in two innings.
Phil Maton (8-5) allowed five runs - two earned - in 6 1/3 innings. Jamie Gilley earned his third save.
