Wind whips up dust and choppy waves

High winds fill the air above Mokulele Highway, kicking up dust near the Central Maui Baseyard on Tuesday afternoon. The National Weather Service reported wind speeds in South Maui peaking at 25 mph with gusts near 35 mph on Tuesday. The National Weather Service has posted a small-craft warning for Maalaea Bay, Pailolo Channel between Maui and Molokai, and Alenuihaha Channel between Maui and the Big Island until 6 p.m. Thursday.
