I want to thank Maui Police Department officer Keith Taguma for working so hard to keep our streets safe.
I am a taxi driver who works at the airport. When officer Taguma started patrolling the airport access road, I felt a hatred for him. But lately he has not shown up. I have almost gotten rear-ended twice since he stopped patrolling. Now I know how important it is for him to be there every day. I feel safer when he is there looking after us.
I want to let him know how important he is to our community. I am sorry about the way I felt before; now he is my hero.
