Seabury Hall graduates Taylor Hori and Jared Shimada have been awarded the inaugural Maui Fire Fighters Auxiliary Scholarships.
Hori earned the award designated for a Maui County student. She is the daughter of Ty and Jayne Hori and will attend University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Shimada earned the award designated for a child of a current employee of the Maui Fire Department. He is the son of Deputy Chief Bob Shimada and Penny Shimada and will attend Santa Clara University in the fall.
The Maui Fire Fighters Auxiliary awarded both students the $500 scholarships for exhibiting scholastic excellence while participating in extra-curricular activities and contributing to the community.
