HAWAIIAN MUSIC SERIES IN LAHAINA

Great live Hawaiian music continues on Front Street as the Hawaiian Music Series features Kory Kukahiko. From 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Baldwin Home Lawn at the corner of Dickenson and Front streets. 'and MISS REARDON DRINKS A LITTLE'

ProArts' "and Miss Reardon Drinks a Little" by Paul Zindel, directed by Mark Collmer. Begins at 7:30 p.m. at the ProArts Playhouse at the Azeka (Makai) Shopping Center. It's the story of three sisters who have grown up in a house dominated by their recently deceased mother. Tickets available at the door or call 463-6550. $20 adults; $15 students 18 and younger. $15 Kama'aina Night tickets available today for Hawaii residents. Seating is limited.

ALOHA SUMMER FIRST FRIDAY IN WAILUKU

Wailuku comes alive! Visual and performing arts, as well as informational booths, local arts and artisan wares, store specials and lots of ono grinds from 6 to 9 p.m. Maui Thing: Jeff Kashiwa with Mitch Kepa Band, 7:30 p.m. Banyan Tree Park: Dr. Nat Band from 6:30 p.m. 33 N. Market: Joel Katz. Venetian Ball with burlesque dancers, DJs, food and dancing at Iao Theater from 8:30 p.m., $20. ANUHEA PERFORMS AT STELLA BLUES IN KIHEI

Recently releasing her second album, "For Love," Anuhea has been busy touring the Mainland with Mishka. Now, she's back and the public will have a nice chance to catch her in two shows per night Friday and Saturday at Stella Blues in Kihei. Tickets for the show only are $30 per person and it's $60 plus tax and tip for the show and a four-course, sit down dinner. Each night's first dinner starts at 5 p.m. sharp with show at 6:15 p.m. The second dinner is at 8 p.m. with show at 9:15 p.m. Call 874-3779.

SATURDAY, JUNE 2

HULIAU YOUTH FILM FESTIVAL

Huliau Youth Environmental Film Festival starts tonight at 7:30 at the Historic Iao Theatre in Wailuku. Students ages 12 to 18 from eight Maui schools will present their work, which include documentary, educational fiction and claymation films. Tickets are $12 general, $5 youth (under 18) and $25 VIP reserved seating. Tickets may be purchased online at www.mauihuliaufoundation.org/festival or at the door from 7 p.m.

OBON FESTIVAL AT LAHAINA MISSION

Lahaina Shingon Mission Obon Festival, a colorful Japanese cultural event, starts with a service at 6:30 p.m. and dancing at 7:30 p.m. Obon is an annual summer festival held at Buddhist temples in rememberance of loved ones who have passed away. The mission is located at 682 Luakini Street between Prison and Dickenson streets.

RECALLING HAWAII OLI, MELE & HULA

Recalling Hawaii Oli, Mele & Hula starts at 6:30 p.m at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center Castle Theater. A multi-media chronical awakening the past, the now and the future of Hawaii. Presenting oli, mele and hula under the direction of Kumu Roselle Keli'ihonipua Lindsey-Bailey.
