Maui County should, as some other progressive counties have done, allow residents to either opt out of or opt in to receiving a phone book (or three, as is possible here).
These unwanted phone books are ending up in our rapidly filling landfill. We need only look as far as Oahu to see our future dilemma acted out: Where to put the next landfill?
