* BASEBALL

June 11-Baseball Academy of the Pacific's "Focusing on FUNdamentals" camp is scheduled for Mondays through Thursdays from June 11 to July 19, from 8 to 11 a.m. each day, at Hitters Paradise in Kihei. Pitching, fielding and batting stills will be taught by Maui College Baseball Club members. The camp is limited to 16 players per day, of all skill levels. The fee is $45 per day. July 8-The Maui College Intramural and Club Baseball Programs are accepting current or future University of Hawaii Maui College students and others interested in playing, coaching, managing, marketing, or volunteering. * BASKETBALL

Monday-Friday-The Basketball Maui/NBC Basketball Camp for boys and girls age 8-18 is scheduled for Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, at gyms in Central Maui and West Maui. The fee is $145, which also pays for a ball, T-shirt and admission to the "Night of Shooting Stars" at the Lahaina Civic Center. NBA players are to appear at the camp. Saturday-Basketball Maui's "Night of Shooting Stars" is scheduled for Saturday at the Lahaina Civic Center. The event will have a celebrity game at 5 p.m., with participants scheduled to include Maui County Mayor Alan Arakawa, former Lt. Gov. Duke Aiona, surfer Ian Walsh, paddleboarder Kai Lenny and musician and actor Eric Gilliom. At 6 p.m., professional players are to compete. Eight NBA players are scheduled to appear, including the Memphis Grizzlies Rudy Gay, Charlotte Bobcats' Corey Maggette and Golden State Warriors' Nate Robinson, with others possible as the league's playoffs continue. Tickets are $10 in advance, and available at Maui Clothing Company and Starbucks locations, and $15 at the gate. Youths ages 6 and under will be admitted free. The price also includes admission to a pregame concert by Christafari. Tickets for only the concert are $5, and available at six different churches: Kumulani Chapel in Kapalua, Lahaina Baptist, Calvary Westside in Lahaina, Lahaina Christian, Waipuna Chapel in Kula and Faith Family Maui in Kahului. Saturday-Tryouts for the Maui Sports Academy College Summer Men's League are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Lahaina Civic Center. The league is open to current high school players, current and former college players and Maui's top adult-league players. Games will be played at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Saturdays at the Lahaina Civic Center. Preseason scrimmages will begin June 14, and the season is scheduled for June 16-July 21. June 12-A mandatory meeting for the Maui County 40-plus Men's Basketball League is scheduled for 7 p.m. on June 12 at the Eddie Tam Community Center. Rules, regulations and payments will be discussed. Contact: Sean Bersamin, 572-1836.

June 18-22-The Hawaii High School Basketball Exposure Camp, for boys varsity-level players, is scheduled for June 18-22 at the Lahaina Civic Center. The fee is $425 for participants who bring their own air mattress or futon, and $450 for those requiring bedding from the camp. Financial assistance will be available through MySportsDreams.com. * CYCLING

Aug. 25-The Cycle to the Sun, a 36-mile race from Paia to the summit of Haleakala, 10,023 feet above sea level, is scheduled for Aug. 25, with a 6:30 a.m. start. Riders can register individually or as a three-person relay team. The entry fee is $200 for individual racers, or $300 for a team. A $25 fee will be charged after Aug. 6. * FOOTBALL

Tuesday-The deadline to register for the third annual Maui Football Combine is Tuesday. The free combine is scheduled for June 15 at Lahainaluna Stadium. Participants are required to check in at 4 p.m., and official testing will start at 6 p.m. Testing will take place in the 40-yard dash, agility shuttle, three-cone shuttle, vertical jump and bench press. Timing for the running events will be conducted electronically. All results will be listed online. Registration for the event can be completed at freeteams.net/mauifootballcombine.

June 10-Maui Pop Warner registration is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to noon on June 10 at the War Memorial Complex and Lahaina Recreation Center. The registration fee is $55 for the Tiny Mites division, and $85 for all other divisions. An adult must accompany all registrants, and they must apply in the district in which they reside. June 27-A free clinic for offensive linemen entering grades 9-12 is scheduled for 9-11:30 a.m. on June 27 at Kanaiaupuni Stadium. The event will be without pads - players need to report in a T-shirt, shorts and cleats - and instruction will be offered by Brian Derby, who runs offensive line clinics on Oahu and the Mainland. Friday-The deadline to register for U.S. Senior Open qualifying at Kaanapali is Friday. Qualifying is scheduled for June 17, and the tournament for July 12-15 at Indianwood Golf & Country Club in Lake Orion, Mich. Entries can be completed at champs.usga.org/index.html.

June 12-14-The Elleair Junior Golf Camp for youths ages 7-17 is scheduled for June 12-14, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. each day. The fee is $75 per person, which also pays for a T-shirt, drinks and energy bars. The camp is limited to 30 participants. Contact: Elleair Maui Golf Club, 874-0777.

July 1-The deadline to register for the Kings Cathedral Sports Ministry Scramble Golf Classic is July 1. The tournament is scheduled for July 14 at The Dunes at Maui Lani, with a 7 a.m. shotgun start. The entry fee for the two-person modified scramble is $100 per golfer, which also pays for use of a cart, an awards banquet and entry into competitions for prizes, including a hole-in-one contest in which a Harley-Davidson motorcycle will be available. July 21-The Sera's Kajukenbo Open is scheduled for July 21 at War Memorial Gym. Registration is to begin at 8 a.m., and matches at 10. June 23-Lahaina Yacht Club will offer a program for teenagers wishing to develop or refine sailing skills, with a party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 23 at Launiupoko Beach Park. A junior membership in the club, which costs $10, will be required to participate in the program. The fee will be waived for the first 30 new junior members to sign up. Monday-The entry deadline for the No Ka Oi Soccer Tournament is Monday, with games scheduled for June 20-23 at the Eddie Tam Complex. Boys and girls teams from under-8 to under-19 are eligible. June 10-The South Maui Triathlon is scheduled for 6 a.m. on June 10. The event comprises a 1.5-kilometer ocean swim, 40-kilometer bicycle leg and 10-kilometer run. The entry fees are $145 for individuals and $185 for teams. The fees include a one-day USA Triathlon membership, which will be refunded with proof of membership.
