The Maui News

LAHAINA -- California-based Property Development Centers (PDC), a wholly owned real estate subsidiary of Safeway Inc., announced Friday that it had acquired the Lahaina Cannery Mall shopping center.

The 15-acre, 130,599 square foot mall includes a Safeway grocery store, Long's Drugs and various other shops and restaurants. It is located at the intersection of Honoapiilani Highway and Kapunakea Street.

PDC purchased the shopping center from Lahaina Cannery Mall, LLC, which was represented by Jon Gianulias, CORE Commercial. County property tax records indicate that the property is owned in fee by Hawaii Omori Corp.

No terms were announced with the announcement.
