Is it too much to ask for road crews that are removing trees and brush on the side of the road to clean the road to pre-work conditions and not leave debris on the shoulder of the road where it can be struck by traffic that sometimes wanders onto the shoulder?
Hana Highway work on cliff sides to remove trees dislodges rocks and dirt that wait for the first rain to fall on the roadway. This, too, is the crew's job to clean up since it caused the situation. So let's keep our roads safe for all users.
Repeated cleanings with a sweeper are required but never implemented by road crews (I have never seen one). But, over all, great job on the trees and thanks for saving the money from the exorbitant costs of the private tree companies.
