Hard work pays off for teen

Country Ranchers 4-H Club member Jared Carvalho-Cambra, 14, leads his 1,072-pound Herford-Limousine mix named Henry around the Maui 4-H Livestock Show and Auction on Saturday. The two hours a day Carvalho-Cambra spent raising the market steer paid off as Henry fetched $4 a pound from the highest bidder. The event was part of the two-day Upcountry Farm and Ag Fair, which concluded Sunday.
