KAHULUI - Phil McGain took the pro division title in a near sweep in Saturday's Da Kine Classic, the second event of the Maui Race Series windsurfing season, at Kanaha Beach Park.
McGain, winner of the last three series titles in the pro division, finished first in three of Saturday's four heats.
Three of the winners from the North Sails Slalom on June 2 repeated as division champions - Dan Ellis (men's 19-39), Mike Yasak (50-59) and Tamara Bockius (women's open). Yasak and Ellis each won three heats, and Bockius won two, taking second in the others.

Other winners were Peter Slate (men's 40-49), Argentina Jimenez Bonilla (advanced), Deniz Bicakci (juniors), Greg Thomas (men's 60 and over), Olaf Sutor (semipro) and Griffin Freysinger (expert).
The next MRS event is the Hot Sails Maui Grand Prix on June 30.
