My daughter, wife and I spent part of our weekend at the recent Upcountry Fair in Makawao. We enjoyed ourselves very much and noted the community involvement in this event, which provides an opportunity for everyone from youth to senior citizens to learn more about what it will take for an island community to be sustainable.
Congratulations to the community volunteers who put this together to benefit the Maui County 4-H members, their families and everyone who took the time to attend.
