South Maui deserves a strong, effective voice in the state House. We are one of the fastest-growing communities in the state. South Maui needs a candidate with a proved record of leadership, experience working with state and local governments to accomplish things and, most importantly, someone from the South Maui community.
I support Colin Hanlon for state House District 11. We need Colin to look after our ohana first, to preserve, protect and perpetuate Hawaiian culture, our kupuna and opio, and our education with the new Kihei high school. Infrastructure is always the key in our community.
Colin has lived in Kihei for more than 20 years, and we have worked together in the South Maui community for 15 years. He has a strong record of leadership and involvement in the local community. He built his career in youth development at the Boys & Girls Club and has fought to provide Maui's children with a safe, nurturing environment. He is dedicated to improving the quality of life for Maui's children and working families, and will work with ohana in the state Legislature.
South Maui deserves strong representation in the State House, and Colin will be that representative. Colin is the Democratic candidate we need to support.
