We agree with the letter written by a fellow taxpayer on June 13 pertaining to the Maui Visitors Bureau. How this organization has the audacity to continue receiving funds from the hardworking taxpayers of Maui County when it already receives more than $2 million from the state of Hawaii is beyond belief.
For years many of us have questioned funding for an organization whose millions seem to go into a black hole somewhere. Who oversees the expenditure of these millions anyway?
Why do you have to lure tourists here with expensive advertising? Everyone wants to come to paradise, the only thing holding them back is time and money.
Everyone loves Maui, especially its residents.
