There has been a lot of needed paving going on on Maui. This is fabulous, but there is an awful road that has been passed up the last few election years. This would be Kokomo Road.
You can't ride a bicycle down this road without hitting holes, let alone a car or truck. There is no shoulder for bikers or pedestrians and you take your vehicle's life in your hands traveling up or down this fairly busy Haiku road.
Please consider widening the road to include a shoulder for bikes and walkers as was done on Pulehu Road.
I have seen too many bicycle accidents and close calls as I live on Kokomo. Please put us on the list ASAP.
