Surf pulls in novice, seasoned

June 26, 2012
The Maui News

First Photo: A surfer is framed by kiawe trees Saturday morning while catching a south swell at Papalaua Beach Park. There will be small surf along shorelines, except for short periods of bigger surf generated by strong trade winds, the National Weather Service said. The next south swell isn't expected until early next week.

Second Photo: Saturday's south swell had enough waves for everybody, with experienced surfers carving large waves on the outside break at the surf spot known as Lahaina Breakwall and novice surfers trying their luck on the re-formed waves inside the reef.
