Rock Babcock passed away at his home in Kula on June 15, 2012.
After moving to Maui in 1973, Rock quickly gained a reputation as a fine carpenter and woodworker. There are a number of beautifully crafted homes that are a testament to his skills. He was also a master craftsman building fine furniture. Rock was a veteran of the Vietnam War, SP4 last serving with the 497 Engineers.
A slight figure with a larger than life capacity and a wonderful humor, Rock was a person who valued quality-quality in relationships, quality in workmanship, quality of life. He was kind, genuine and humble. A gentle man.
