Jonah Louis Poaipuni Jr., 71, of Kula, Maui, Passed away on June 19, 2012, at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on December 9, 1940, in Kula, Maui.
Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Ballard Family Mortuary; service will start at 11:00 a.m.; burial will follow, 12:30 p.m., at Maui Memorial Park Cemetery in Wailuku.
Jonah retired as a Construction Superintendent at Goodfellow Brothers. He is predeceased by his daughter, Joanne Poaipuni; and son, Sheldon Poaipuni; survived by his wife, Eleanor Poaipuni; daughters, Loriann (Conrad Cordeiro) Poaipuni, Leeann (Derlyn Pasco) Poaipuni; sister, Geraldine "Kuulei" Kalawaia; brothers, Allen Poaipuni, Russell Poaipuni, Roland "Choge" Poaipuni; and grandchildren, Gaison, Kylee, Kalia, Kapili, and Kaimipono.
