* Steve Sakata, who has personally provided support services for the Maui Police Department, Maui Memorial Medical Center and University of Hawaii Maui College, has accepted the role of senior state executive for IBM Hawaii-Pacific. He will be providing leadership for IBM across the state.
On Maui, IBM is working on a municipal wireless initiative and bringing a supercomputer system into the Maui High Performance Computing Center.
* Realtor Josh Jerman has joined Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers (Hawaii Life) in its Wailea office. His two Realtor salesperson partners, Souksamlane Jerman and Ilsa Mitchell Jencks, also will join Hawaii Life.

Raised in Upcountry, Josh Jerman graduated from Baldwin High School and the University of Washington. He has been recognized as one of the "Top 40 Under Forty" professionals by Pacific Business News and was recently honored as Maui County's Young Business Person of the Year and one of the Top 100 Realtors in the state. He serves on the Realtors Association of Maui (RAM) Board of Directors, the RAM Education Committee and the Hawai'i Association of Realtors' Young Professionals Network.
