A brush fire that burned about 3 acres in Kahikinui was extinguished Tuesday morning, a fire official said.
Firefighters were dispatched at 4:27 p.m. Monday to the fire at Milepost 26 on Piilani Highway. Along with Kula, Makawao, Kahului and Wailea firefighters, the Fire Department's Air One helicopter responded to the blaze, which was contained and under control by 6 p.m. Monday.
It was extinguished at 10:06 a.m. Tuesday.
