The Maui News

PUUNENE - A groundbreaking ceremony for the Maui Economic Opportunity Transportation Center in Puunene was held June 26.

The $23,180,000 project will be built on a 10-acre parcel partially donated by Alexander & Baldwin Inc.

"We are very grateful to Alexander & Baldwin and for the support of our state and county legislators, Mayor Arakawa and his administration, and community partners," Chief Executive Officer Lyn McNeff said in her opening remarks. "Without all of these groups working together, none of this would be possible."
