WAILUKU - Maui Economic Opportunity Inc. Business Development Center graduated 17 students from its Core Four Business Planning course during a luncheon at the MEO facility on June 19.
At the graduation, the students spoke with Maui business bankers who had volunteered their time to review the students' business plans and provide guidance in operating a successful business. Students received a Certificate of Achievement.
Core Four Business Planning is a 36-hour course that covers how to write a business plan and information on how to start, operate and grow a business.
Those interested in registering for the upcoming course may attend an introductory class from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Maui County Business Resource Center in the Maui Mall or from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at MEO's Family Center.
The six-week series begins from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 21. All sessions will be held at MEO's Family Center at 99 Mahalani St. in Wailuku. Cost is $300, and scholarships are available.
Registration is required for the six-week series and can be done at the introductory classes or from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays at MEO's Family Center.
