'THE PRODUCERS' OPENS AT THE IAO

A Maui OnStage production "The Producers," opens tonight at the Historic Iao Theater at 7:30. "The Producers," a Mel Brooks musical contains sexual innuendo and language and may not be appropriate for children. All-new reserved seating tickets are $15 to $28. WILLIE K, MAUI THING BASH AT FIRST FRIDAY

Willie K returns to Wailuku First Friday to celebrate clothing company Maui Thing's fourth anniversary and Pride Ink's first anniversary. Willie K will take the Maui Thing stage at 6:15 p.m., and a fashion show will commence at 7:15 p.m. A concert and dance party with Deja Vu will start at 6 p.m. at the Banyan Tree Park. 'NARNIA' MAPA'S TEEN SUMMER MUSICAL

Step through the wardrobe into the enchanting world of Narnia as the talented young performers of MAPA's Teen Summer Musical Theatre Camp bring C.S. Lewis' classic story to life. FLOATING LANTERN OBON FESTIVAL

Lahaina Jodo Mission Obon Festival, a colorful Japanese cultural event, starts with a service at 6:30 p.m. with floating lantern procession and ceremony to follow. Dancing at 8 p.m. in the temple courtyard, accompanied by Maui Taiko. Food booths will open at 6 p.m. The mission is located at 12 Ala Moana St. near the Mala boat landing.
