HONOLULU - The University of Hawaii on Tuesday announced home-and-home football games with Arizona in 2019 and 2020.
The games are to be played Aug. 31, 2019, in Honolulu, and Sept. 5, 2020, in Tucson.
"We continue to try and schedule Pac-12 opponents on a home-and-home basis," said UH athletic director Jim Donovan, "and we're proud to announce Arizona as our most recent addition. They have a great program and we have mutual history because Dick Tomey was the head coach for both schools for so many years. We don't often play in Tucson so it will be (a) nice treat for our fans in that area of the country."
The Wildcats are 4-0 against the Warriors, winning 17-10 in the most recent meeting, at Aloha Stadium in 1977 - Tomey's first season as the UH coach.
"We are pleased to announce this series with the University of Hawaii," Arizona AD Greg Byrne said on the school's website. "It will give our fans a great opportunity to follow our football team to Hawaii and it will be another attractive game at Arizona Stadium."
The 2012 season will be the first in the Mountain West Conference for UH.
