Single-family home sales, prices on rise
HONOLULU - The median price for a single-family home on Oahu increased 10.2 percent last month from the same period last year.
The Honolulu Board of Realtors said Monday the median price for single family homes in June was $620,000, compared with $562,500 in June 2011. There was also a 12.5 percent increase in sales, with 279 homes sold last month, compared with 248 a year ago.
However, the median price for condominiums and the number of sales went down last month. The median price was $297,000, a 1.3 percent decrease from $301,000. There were 342 condos sold, a 3.4 percent decrease from 354.
