KAHULUI - Maui Mall recently awarded Seabury Hall student Jesse Doan an iPad and Lihikai Elementary School student Krislen Fujimoto-Palakiko an iPod as part of its Maui Mall Family Sunday event on June 24.
Doan recently completed 7th grade and Fujimoto-Palakiko recently completed 3rd grade.
Seabury Hall teacher Steve Vurno called Doan a "gifted mathematician."

Lihikai teacher Miki-Ann Asato said Fujimoto-Palakiko communicates well in discussions with her peers and adults and asks for clarification if she needs it.
Teachers are encouraged to nominate students for this monthly iPad and iPod drawing, even while school is out of session. The next Family Sundays and iPad and iPod giveaway event on July 29 will highlight music and performing arts. The deadline to submit nomination forms for this event is July 16.
