In response to the letters opposing the proposed outlet mall in Kihei, I am writing to express my support for the proposed mall which, according to my understanding, received all of the necessary approvals well over a decade ago.
It will not only bring much needed jobs for teens and adults alike, it will prevent Maui consumers from having to fly to Oahu to shop at Waikele or to other cities for an outlet mall, and spending their hard-earned money in other jurisdictions.
Bringing the outlet mall to Maui will encourage our residents and visitors to spend their money on our island, thereby stimulating our local economy.
