I was in Lahaina for fireworks on the Fourth of July, and what a great show.
But Maui cops need better uniforms for special events. White polo shirts and BDU pants for a cooler and more relaxed appearance, it would really help them walking around in the hot sun and make for great relaxed public cooperation and relations.
Many Mainland coastal departments do it, and it's a great way to work.
Maui officers would look and be cool.
