DUI Sentences

The following sentences for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor occurred during the period of July 5-13. The listings include the offender's name, age, residence and charges. First offenders undergo a 14-hour alcohol abuse rehabilitation program, a substance abuse evaluation and a one-year license suspension with the ability to operate a vehicle if qualified for an ignition interlock device.

Wailuku District Court:

James Bardesis, 56, Kihei; DUI; three-day jail term, $500 fine.

James Bayford, 37, Wailuku; DUI; $300 fine.

Daniel Kaulia, 20, Wailuku; DUI, excessive speeding; $650 fine, driver retraining course, 36 hours of volunteer work.

Chad Laswell, 24, Wailea; DUI; $300 fine.

Walter Mark, 28, Kahului; DUI; $250 fine, $412 in fees.

Tiare Miller, 29, Wailuku; DUI; two-day jail term, $437 in fees.

Dwayne Moore, 35, Wailuku; DUI, excessive speeding; two-day jail term, $750 fine, $474 in fees.

Cassidy B. Morris, 21, Kihei; DUI; $250 fine, $437 in fees.

Erik Rasmussen, 23, Wailuku; DUI (second in five years); five-day jail term, $500 fine.

Peter Sigrah, 45, Kahului; DUI, third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug, lack of due care; two-day jail term, $350 fine, $437 in fees.

Brandon Lee F. Vierra, 24, Lahaina; DUI; $400 fine, $412 in fees.

Dickson H. Waguk, 30, Kihei; DUI, driving while license suspended or revoked, inattention to driving; 30-day jail term, $1,000 fine, $412 in fees, restitution to be determined.
