Rosemond Kehaulani "Chubby" Underwood, 63, a resident of Brunswick, died Saturday 7/7/12 at her residence in Brunswick.

A celebration of Life Service was held at 3 PM Tuesday 7/10/12 in the Sterling Church of God in Brunswick, Georgia.

Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home of Brunswick, Georgia assisted in arrangements.

Mrs. Underwood was a native of Maui, Hawaii and had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 40 years. She was a graduate of St. Anthony Catholic High School in Maui, Hawaii in 1965.

She was preceded in death by a son Kelly Joe Kealoha Underwood, her parents, Willie and Hannah Hokoana, brothers, Ben Kai and Harold Cabbab and a sister, Marcy Kai Chun.

She was employed with the Glynn County Deputy Sheriff for over 30 years, The College of Coastal Georgia Security Dept., and the Federal Law Enforcement Center in Brunswick, Georgia. She received the Officer of the Year award for 1987, 2001, 2008, 2009 and the Outstanding Service to your Community Award for 2009-2010.

Survivors are her son, Tracy Underwood (Jody) of Brunswick, two grandchildren, Kelani and Alana Underwood of Brunswick, brothers, Leroy Kai, Joseph Deguilmo and Clyde Bumanglag all of Honolulu, Hawaii, Leonard "Kimo" Deguilmo of San Jose, Calif., John Deguilmo of Maui, Hawaii, two sisters, Lynda Deguilmo of Maui, Hawaii and Audrey Hokoana-Eddy of Vermont and several nieces and nephews.

She received the Officer of the Year award for 1987, 2001, 2008, 2009 and the Outstanding Service to your Community Award for 2009-2010.
