What happened to the Kahului library? It looks so shabby and neglected.
Pieces of trash litter the sparse, dried-out grounds. (It would be misleading to call it a lawn.) People high on something loiter in the vicinity shouting out provocative utterings. It's like you've just entered an alternate universe, and not a pleasant one, an environment unlike other library facilities. Inside is not much better. People are carrying on conversations; there are constant coughs and hacking. And smiles are few. It's weird.
Maybe I was there on a bad day. But only shame, nonetheless.
