HONOLULU - Cassy Isagawa won the Hawaii State Women's Match Play Championship with a 3 and 1 victory over Lisa Kang on Friday at Oahu Country Club.
Isagawa, a 2011 Baldwin High School graduate who was a first team All-American for Golfweek magazine as a freshman at the University of Oregon, was 4 up after eight holes.
Kang, a Mid-Pacific Institute junior-to-be, won the ninth and 10th with birdies, but could not get any closer.

Isagawa, the 2010 state high school and Junior PGA champion, did not trail in any of her four matches in the match play event. She beat Mira Han 7 and 6 in the first round and then downed Kaili Britos 7 and 5 in the second round. She reached the final by beating Kacie Komoto on the 24th hole in the semifinals Thursday.
