FULLERTON, Calif. - The Maui Pony 13 All-Stars bowed out of the Pony 13 Western Zone Tournament with a 10-1 loss to Napa Valley, Calif., on Monday at Ameridge Park.
Maui trailed 2-0 in the top of the second inning when Nevan Watanabe drove in the team's only run. Watanabe finished the day 2-for-3 at the plate.
Maui finished 1-2 in the regional tournament.
Maui won its opener 10-0 over Washington, but left 14 runners on base in a 6-5, eight-inning loss to Long Beach, Calif., on Sunday in the double-elimination tournament.
