AKAKU OFFERS FREE COMMUNITY WORKSHOP

Akaku: Maui Community Television presents a free community workshop by filmmaker Catherine Bauknight on "Telling Your Culture's Story through Video and Filmmaking." The workshop is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Akaku Center, 333 Dairy Rd., Kahului. Call 871-5554, for more information.

'DISNEY'S SLEEPING BEAUTY KIDS' OPENS

MAPA's summer camps will conclude with the production of "Disney's Sleeping Beauty Kids." Doors open at 7 p.m. at Steppingstone Playhouse in Queen Ka'ahumanu Center. It features 52 performers ages 7 to 12. Tickets are $12 adults, and $8 students 12 and younger. HAWAIIAN MUSIC SERIES IN LAHAINA

ALOHA FRIDAY SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui and University of Hawaii, Maui College's Institute of Hawaiian Music (IHM) present "Aloha Friday Summer Concert Series." Students from IHM will be performing in the hotel lobby between 5 and 6 p.m. The concerts are free and open to all.
