In response to a May 22 letter: Thank you to the letter writer for writing about the cause of family being ruined. But families are not only being destroyed by the "seductive women in pay-to-sit-with-hostess bars." They are also being destroyed by promiscuous experienced old maids from work and from gyms in the wee hours of the morning.
There is always one waiflike dame who preys on married weaklings, tarnishing lives without guilt. She displays her modified body in a seductive, promiscuous act to the wondering eyes of desperate, hallucinated men who are supposedly suffering from the curse of midlife crisis.
How do we curtail the insanity of infidelity? How do we convey the message to home-breakers to leave our marriage alone? How do we tell these paramours to stay away from married men, especially when they are aware the marriage has reached a milestone of 25 years?
I am grateful for Mayor Alan Arakawa for disapproving the hostess bar proposal by the Maui County Liquor Commission. But there ought to be a law against home-breakers of all sorts that come with high fines and penalties. This can help bring revenue back up and will lessen married men being seduced or seeking illicit stimulants that are comparable to methamphetamine.
Infidelity is often blamed to the cheating spouse, but it takes two to tango.
