A brush fire that burned about 30 acres in Puukolii was 100 percent contained shortly after noon Monday, a fire official said.
But with the fire not yet extinguished, fire crews were continuing to monitor the situation, said Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga.
The fire, spread by gusts, came within 50 feet of townhomes Sunday night, officials said.
