In response to the July 19 editorial "A lesson in the past" . . . Touche!
I wish the message resounded throughout the halls of Congress and within the Oval Office until the practice became a pure habit and not just shallowly eluded to whenever convenient, where everyone would put aside politics, once and for all, for the sake and survival of all Americans and the preservation of our dignity as human beings.
That would be a wondrous day indeed. Will they please all get back to real work - the work they were hired to do - or just go home! Surely and sadly, for now, this is just hope!
