A new family-style pizza restaurant has just opened in the former Matteo's spot in Wailea. Called Manoli's Pizza Co., it's got an organic menu bursting with fresh flavors, biodynamic and organic wines, and prices that are easy on the pocketbook.
Owned by popular restaurateur Aaron Placourakis, who also runs Nick's Fish Market, Sarento's on the Beach, and Son'z at Swan Court on Maui, this is his affordable nod to families.
"Named after my father and my son, Manoli's is all about family," says Placourakis. "In fact, it's at the heart of this concept, where all salads and pizzas are served family style."

Maui grown ingredients grace the menu such as Kula Farm greens, Surfing Goat Dairy cheeses, Olowalu carrots, Hana avocados and much more. Rich and savory sauces and doughs are housemade from scratch. Crusts are whole grain or gluten free for the health conscious.
With dozens of topping choices, you may build your own salad or pie or simply order off of the menu. The Hawaiian Honey is a draw with its honey ham smoked in house, Maui Gold caramelized pineapple, organic pomodoro sauce, fresh mozzarella and toasted macadamia nuts.
Other pizza choices are the seafood sausage, the shrimp pesto, and the Generoso.
Located on the golf course above Shops at Wailea on Wailea Ike Drive, it offers open-air views. Prices range from $6 to $26 and keiki meals include all they can eat of cheese pizza, drinks and dessert starting at 99 cents, plus the child's age.
