Monday-The King Kekaulike High School air riflery team will hold a mandatory parent athlete meeting on Monday at the school cafeteria. * CYCLING
Aug. 25-The Cycle to the Sun, a 36-mile race from Paia to the summit of Haleakala, 10,023 feet above sea level, is scheduled for Aug. 25, with a 6:30 a.m. start. Riders can register individually or as a three-person relay team. The entry fee is $200 for individual racers, or $300 for a team. A $25 fee will be charged after Aug. 6. Aug. 12-Applications are currently being accepted for the 30th annual Baldwin Basketball Backers Benefit Golf Tournament. The two-person scramble tournament will be held on Aug. 12 at the Waiehu Municipal Golf Course. Entry forms are available at most local golf course pro shops. Prizes include golf equipment as well as special prizes on each par-3 hole. Fees include cart, prizes and an awards luncheon. Contact: 877-7294, 877-8053.

Aug. 11-Stock car racing will be held on Aug. 11 at the Paradise Speedway Maui circle track. Gates open at the Maui Motorsports Park at 3 p.m., with time trials beginning at 7. Aug. 13-A National Youth Sports Coaches Association meeting for elementary and intermediate volleyball coaches will be held on Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. at the Eddie Tam Community Center. Also immediately following the coaches, there will be a mandatory Parents Association for Youth Sports meeting at 7 p.m. Coaches are responsible for parents' attendance, which is mandatory.
