WAILUKU - The boys and girls bowling teams from Baldwin High School defeated King Kekaulike by forfeit Wednesday, while the Maui High boys beat St. Anthony 2-1 and the Trojans beat the Sabers 3-0 in a girls match.
The competition at Maui Bowling Center was the first Maui Interscholastic League fall event of 2012.
The Bears girls teams had the three best scores of the day - a 178 by Brooke Higa, 175 by Chelsea Kadokawa and 174 by Janiesse Palafox.
Tyler Yamasaki had a 157 for the Baldwin boys, and Jaylen Kama-Cabanting a 141. Jeremy Chang had a 154 for Na Alii.
Sloan Becraft (149) was the high scorer for the St. Anthony girls, and Rachel Lallo had a 111. Precious Texeira (127) and Stephanie Imada (111) had Maui High's top scores.
Trent Hori's 150 led the Sabers boys, and Codey Kuhaulua had a 127. The Trojans got a 169 from Chaz Fernandez, and a 133 from Christian Altura-Taal.
On Aug. 25, King Kekaulike will face Maui High, and Baldwin will meet Lahainaluna.
