Police seek help in locating man in connection with theft

This week the Maui Police Department and Maui Crime Stoppers seek the public's help in locating Ernest Orson Presas, 67.

Presas is wanted by the Maui Police Department for the theft of jewelry from Grand Jewels of Wailea at the Grand Wailea in June 2011.

Presas is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information concerning Presas' whereabouts is asked to call Maui Crime Stoppers at 242-6966. Neighbor Island residents can call toll free at (888) 242-6966. Callers remain anonymous and are given a code number.

Maui Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of people responsible for felony crimes; the recovery of stolen property or seizure of illegal drugs in felony cases; or the capture of felony fugitives.
