Hayashi also won the section's senior professional championship, which was taking place simultaneously. The Visa super senior division title went to Golf TEC's Bill Hunt, who defeated Kenny Springer of The Club at Hokuli'a and Rodney Acia of Hilo Municipal with a par on the first hole of a playoff after all three finished regulation at 164. Hunt shot 85 in the second round, Springer had a 79 and Acia an 81.
