Three more Maui residents have filed papers to run for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs Maui trustee seat, including the son of former Maui trustee, Boyd Mossman, who resigned late last year.
Kaulana Mossman of Kula, along with former Maui County Council Member Dain P. Kane of Wailuku and Jonah K. Kapu of Lahaina have joined in the race for a special election for the seat that will be held in conjunction with the Nov. 6 general election.
Today was the filing deadline for the Maui OHA seat.
The other candidates are: Johanna K. Amorin, Glenn G. Au, Rose Marie H. Duey, Doreen N. Gomes and Carmen K.L. Lindsey, who is the current temporary appointee to the seat.
