Just as I can neither forgive nor forget the building of great towers in the great city of New York, and then putting a tavern on top, I cannot forget Linda Lingle riding around Air Force One with the mindless golem George W. Bush.
Missing only the cheerleading outfit and pom-poms, Lingle just gushed praise for the blundering dauphinlike Bush before the bombs began falling and the lies multiplied.
I said then and I repeat: We will never forget. Lingle must be held accountable for the betrayal of aloha. Later, of course, she betrayed her party and president and hid quietly out of the Republican spotlight as she realized that a gang of chicken hawks had taken over the White House, instigating bankrupting, injudicious and unjust wars.
The politician, the woman and the ambition in her backed away from the gang that accomplished the mission of insulting the world, emptying our treasury and killing unnecessarily.
