AARP meeting to focus on senior nutrition
Gwen Henry, a nutrition and education specialist for seniors, will be the guest speaker at the AARP South Maui Chapter meeting at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kalama Heights Retirement Center's Garden Room, 101 Kanani Road in Kihei.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for snacks and coffee.

Meeting to discuss Maui degree options
The University of Hawaii Center at University of Hawaii Maui College will host a meeting to discuss bachelor's and master's degree opportunities available on Maui at 6 p.m. Wednesday at UH-MC's Laulima Building, Room 102.
The session will cover requirements for a variety of degree programs as well as the application process. The focus will be on preparing students of all levels, from recent high school graduates to adults returning to school. There also will be an opportunity to ask questions about distance programs.

Bowie to discuss Maui Tomorrow efforts
Maui Tomorrow Executive Director Irene Bowie will be the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Maui meeting at noon Thursday at the Leis Family Class Act Restaurant at University of Hawaii Maui College.

Kihei Charter School's Parent Teacher Organization will host an ice cream social fundraiser from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Kihei Charter High School.

Kaahumanu Church fundraiser Saturday
Kaahumanu Church will host its third annual Restoring Our History fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church, located at 103 S. High St. in Wailuku.
The free admission event will feature craft and food booths, plus a rummage sale and silent auction featuring lei hulu and kahili. There will be live music by Ola Hou with Kevin and Sheldon Brown, and Na Leo Lani O Maui Choir under the direction of Gale Wisehart.
Donations are being accepted for the silent auction and rummage sale. Items may be dropped off at the church on Monday, Wednesday or Friday. Donors also may arrange pickup in Central Maui or Kihei. To donate, call 281-8711.

Artists and craftsmen are invited to an artists' swap from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Upcountry Fine Art, 886 Haliimaile Road in Makawao.

HawaiianMiles offered with every flu shot
Foodland Pharmacy in Pukalani will be awarding patients 50 HawaiianMiles with every flu shot, according to an announcement.
The flu shot is free for patients with insurance coverage from HMSA, HMSA Quest, HMA, Medicare, HMAA and UHA. Cost is $30 for all others.
Flu shots are given between 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. No appointment is necessary.
