Thank you to our helpers for the recent garage sale Saturday, Aug. 11 benefiting the Feline Foundation of Maui TNR program: Sue Young, Kristi and Tony Kemp, Helen Domer, Cynthia and Mike Krahn, Pat Derickson.
We are 100 percent volunteer so we need support 100 percent! We made $900, and also displayed information about our mission to humanely manage Maui's free roaming cats. Fixing these cats, whose homes are outdoors, means no more litters!
No more litters stops the unwanted births and also stops the fighting.
For more information on this proven method of cat control, see www.alleycat.org.

Mahalo to the staff at Central Maui Animal Clinic for providing emergency service to our dog after the hit-and-run accident in Kihei on Saturday afternoon. The clinic's staff went out of its way to accommodate us, and we thank you for all your efforts. Lucky we live Maui!

As I write this letter a tremendous team of medical professionals on Maui have been brought together to save my husband's life and better his health for the future.
Captain of the team was Dr. Greg Park of MDVIP. And the lineup included Dr. Ronald Boyd, radiology;
Dr. Todd Hoekstra, urologist from Kaiser; Dr. Michael Dang and his gang taking Maui Memorial Medical Center to first-class status in thoracic surgery.
Having a Health plan that lets me choose from three different options, in this case was key. Of course, I cannot leave out my thanks to the men and women who behind the scene make it all work. Now, my husband is out of the hospital.

We would like to thank staff members at Waihee School for their very generous donation of four cafeteria tables for our school. We needed them desperately, and they came through for us.
We would also like to thank Princess Nahienaena School for a donation of 58 chairs. Thank you to Brian for coming in on his day off so we could pick them up. Mahalo to both schools for your generous donations. We are very fortunate to have such wonderful partners in our community. Thank you to Aloha Shares for hooking us up, as well. You are a valuable asset to our community.
